Task 6 (Mississippi Burning)

Task 6

Back in January we were assigned to write a text about a selectable subject. The subject I chose was President Barack Obama and all the hatred against black people. So I decided to talk about USAs President and a bit about the racism in USA around 1960s. The reason I picked the President task, was that I knew a bit about Barack and thought it would be fun to reflect more about a subject that many people have been discussing.

Obama is now the current president of USA. In the 1960s this was impossible to do due to the hatred against black persons. The black people were treated badly, so they realized they needed a redemption from the iron grip they had been controlled by.

Since 1960 there have been big changes in a lot of countries, but USA had the greatest change. They went from discrimination to allowing them (black people) to preform songs, music etc. and some succeeded. That means USA for example went from not sharing bathrooms to black people to give them their own bathrooms.

Today many black people live in USA and some are still being thrown around, but racism is almost gone, which is very good.

Barack Obama made a lot of people happy when he became president. His speeches were very convincing.
